/>nathan, when l read the first line, you killed me dude... its the best
car l have, the first one actually... the thing is that l do not have a
radiator coolent, l had it but the guy l bought this car from said it was
old, so l threw it away, and yes, the fan was working a few days ago, now
when l start the car, l cannot hear the fan working, sometimes it does,
and sometimes it doesn't... l was afraid l blew the head gasket, but l
know its nothing of that sort, the radiator needs more work? or do l put
in a radiator coolent, or else.. thanks everyone.. thanks alot...

Water dripping from underneath the engine means that you

probably need a new water pump.

If the water is too hot (200f or so ) then you need to change your

thermostat.

OK, you do know the rad is supposed to be hot. It is at a
Rockchick
higher temperature than boiling point of water.

If you are concerned about it being unusually hot, then there are only two

things that are wrong:

1. Your fan belt is slipping or ur fan is not coming on. Check the relay.
When you start the car or start from a stop at a red-light do you hear it
screeching & then it goes away as you pick up speed? Well, the fan belt is
loose. Tighten it.
To check the relay, park the car, idle it. See if the fan comes on -
continue the idling - see if the fan stops after some time. If it cycles
on & off, ur relay for the fan is ok.

2. Your thermostat that is supposed to open is installed the wrong
way.(you did the service only a month ago). Did you replace it with a new
one at that time?
